As someone who generally doesn't enjoy eating breakfast, I was looking for a way to get something in my body in the early morning hours that had some kind of nutritional value. The psychology behind it, I have no idea, but for some reason the consistency of a smoothie and the idea that I can hold something in my hand while I make my morning commute is appealing to me. Below you'll find a yummy and healthy green smoothie perfect to nourish your body with vitamin K and A!
Prep Time: 5 minutes Servings: 1 Ingredients:
Instructions: In a blender combine the milk, protein powder, greek yogurt, and a handful of spinach, I usually prefer to fill about half way up the blender to give me a full glass of smoothie. Toss in the half of frozen banana, I prefer frozen so that the smoothie is chilled. Lastly, throw in some chia seeds if you are looking for some extra Omega-3, fiber, or antioxidants! Blend until the texture is smooth and fully blended. The smoothie should appear bright green! Enjoy! Extra tip: I purchased some clear plastic disposable cups from Amazon. They included the smoothie straws and are an easy way to take your smoothie to go!
